Coffee Table Walnut
Isamu Noguchi, 1944

In creating his design for the Coffee Table, Isamu Noguchi translated the biomorphic aesthetic
of his sculptural works into a piece of furniture with distinctive organic forms.
Presumably for this reason, Noguchi regarded the table as his best furniture design.
Two wooden leg elements, which are available in black ash, maple or walnut, are positioned
at a right angle to provide a stable support for the heavy, sturdy glass top.

Material :
Table top - heavy glass, 19 mm, rounded edges
Base - solid wood with lacquer finish, rounded edges




Isamu Noguchi는 커피 테이블 디자인을 위해 그의 조각 작품의 미적 생체표현을 특유의 유기적 형태의 가구로 번역했습니다.
아마도 이런 이유로 Noguchi는 이 테이블을 그의 최고의 가구 디자인으로 생각했습니다.
Black ash, Maple, Walnut 소재의 두 개의 나무 다리가 직각으로 배치되어 무겁고 튼튼한 유리 탑을 안정적으로 받쳐 줍니다.
