Ceiling Lamp N°5 Brass
designed by Muller Van Severen

With valerie_objects celebrating their fifth anniversary,
design duo muller van severen created two special lighting objects that set the celebratory mood.
ceiling lamp n°4 and n°5 reflect the shape of garlands and serpentines,
drawing playful and colourful lines in space.
It is a continuation of Neon, a neon garland-shaped lamp Muller Van Severen made back in 2014.
In essence it is about creating an object with a certain atmosphere simply
by applying a minimal intervention: the bending of a straight line.
The lamp is made of steel (or brass) and unbendable.
These frivolous lamps are available in the meticulously selected playful colours
 that is so typical to the oeuvre of Muller Van Severen.
‘We want to make people look at the architecture of the home again,
at the walls and the ceiling’, Hannes Van Severen explains.
These lamps lead the eye. That’s what design should do
: tie the room together to create one story: the tale of the owner.

공간에 장난스럽고 다채로운 선을 그립니다.
2014년에 Muller Van Severen이 만든 네온 갈랜드 모양의 램프인 Neon의 연속으로,
본질적으로 이 램프는 최소한의 개입인 직선의 구부림을 적용하여 특정 분위기의 오브제를 만드는 것입니다.
램프는 강철(또는 황동)로 만들어져 구부러지지 않습니다.
이 램프는 Muller Van Severen의 작품에서 가장 전형적으로 선택된 장난기 있는 색상으로 제공됩니다.
Hannes Van Severen은 사람들이 집의 건축물을 벽과 천장에서 다시 보게 만들고 싶다고 설명합니다.
이 램프는 눈을 이끌고, 이것이 바로 디자인이 해야 할 일입니다.
