Mt3 Rocking Chair Red

“MT”, the acronym defining this collection designed by Ron Arad,
in English is pronounced “empty” that means “vacuum” and emptiness is really the key element of this project.
The volume is hollowed and presents provoctively its interior, finished in different colours.
This is possible thanks to a double step in the rotational molding.
First of all the polyethylene of the outer shell color is placed in the mold.
Once formed this layer, the second color is inserted and adhere to the first without merging the two polymers,
even though this process takes place in blast furnaces.
Once extracted from the mold, a five-axis laser will cut off the lateral ends of the product,
revealing the two-tone side of the MT.
From the typological point of view is also reported the presence of a rocking chair, a rarity in the contemporary world.

Material : Polyethylene monobloc sand white colored outside and red colored inside.
Ron Arad가 디자인한 이 컬렉션을 정의하는 약자인 "MT"는
영어로 진공을 의미하는 "empty" 발음되며, 공백은 실제로 이 프로젝트의 핵심 요소입니다.
이 볼륨은 속이 비어 있고 다른 색상으로 마감된 실내를 선보입니다.
이것은 회전 성형의 두 단계로 인해 가능합니다.
우선 외각 색상의 폴리에틸렌이 몰드에 넣어집니다.
일단 이 층이 형성되면, 이 공정이 용광로에서 이루어지더라도 두 번째 색상을 삽입하고
두 개의 폴리머를 병합하지 않고 첫 번째 색상에 부착합니다.
몰드에서 추출한 후, 5축 레이저가 MT의 투톤면을 나타내는 제품의 측면 끝을 잘라냅니다.
